Williams Ledger Elementary School Newsletter for January 2026.

A word from our Principal:

Dear Williams Ledger Families,

Happy New Year! We are excited to welcome our students and staff back and begin a strong second semester together. January is the perfect time to reset routines, set goals, and recommit to showing up every day ready to learn.

Attendance Matters—Every Day Counts

Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in student success. When students are at school every day, they stay connected to learning, build stronger relationships, and make consistent academic progress. We appreciate your partnership in helping ensure students are at school, on time, and ready to learn whenever possible.

To encourage great attendance, we are excited to roll out several attendance competitions and incentives this semester:

10 Days of Perfect Attendance (Class Goal):

When a class reaches 10 days of perfect attendance, they will earn a class reward from a choice board.

Weekly Attendance Challenge:

Each week, the class in each grade level with the highest attendance rate will earn a class reward from a choice board.

Six Weeks Perfect Attendance (Individual Reward):

Any student with perfect attendance for the entire six weeks will be invited to our Atten-Dance Celebration—a fun way to celebrate students who show up every day!

These incentives are designed to celebrate consistency, teamwork, and the shared effort it takes to prioritize attendance. Thank you for helping us reinforce this important habit at home.

Upcoming Events

We also invite families to join us for these important events this month:

Semester Awards Ceremonies:

Come celebrate our students’ hard work, growth, and achievements from the first semester. Specific dates and times will be shared soon.

State of the District:

Families are encouraged to attend this event to learn more about district goals, progress, and plans for the future. Your involvement and voice matter.

As we begin this new semester, thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership. Together, we will make 2025 a year of growth, learning, and success for every Cougar Cub.
